She began to experiment with themes and songs when her popularity grew. The uniqueness of her voice and singing abilities earned her critical praise and a number of high-profile award. She has been awarded the Grammy Award 3 times. Apart from her music career she has also appeared in movies as well as television programs. She has also written the book for children River Rose and the Magical Lullaby and been involved in several charities.
