Amber Benson bio
Amber Benson, an American musician, producer and singer also writes. Most famously, she is known for her part as Tara Maclay on the TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer and has also directed produced and appeared in her own film Chance and Lovers Liars & Lunatics. In addition, she appeared part of the film Kiss the Bride. Benson was the youngest of children born to Edward Benson and Diane Benson. She was born in Birmingham, Alabama on January 1977. Her younger sister is Danielle, who has a career as an artist. Benson attended a Reform Jewish synagogue as she grew up. Her mother, who was Southern Baptist and raised Jewish through her father, is as well Jewish. Benson has appeared on Morganville The Series and in The Killing Jar since Buffy's ending. Her creative talents have been put to good use in Ghosts of Albion, and she also directed Drones (2010). Buffy states that, after taking the time to count them and identify the Slayers, she discovered at least 1800 Slayers across the world, including 500 who are connected to The Scooby Gang. Slayers can be active after their abilities are mature enough. Soledad for example became an Slayer at the age of sixteen. Ruth Connell has been cast as Rowena in Season 10 Supernatural. It seems like she's a cryptic older-school witch.
