Rauw Alejandro
Raul Alejandro Olasio was born on 10 January 1993. He is also known as Rauw Alejandro. He has been dubbed the "King of Modern Reggaeton".[2][3] He belongs to the "new generation" of Puerto Rican musicians. [4] His debut album, Afrodisiaco (studio album) was released in November , 2020. The album that followed Vice Versa, which debuted in June 2021, featured the lead track "Todo de Ti". He's won two Latin Grammy Awards from twelve nominations. Raul Alejandro Ocasio-Ruiz was born on 10 January, 1993, in San Juan, Puerto Rico and was raised in Canovanas and Carolina. [4][5] Alejandro's father and guitarist Raul OcasioRuiz, and his mother Maria Nelly Ruiz (backing vocalist) introduced him to a variety of his musical influences like Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley, as well as Chris Brown. 6 Alejandro was a part of his father's household for a long time throughout the United States, mostly New York City and Miami where he was inspired by R&B and dancehall. Alejandro and Anuel A.A. who is a fellow Puerto Rican rapper are childhood close friends. They went to the same school together and also attended classes together. [9][10] As a child, Alejandro competed in school talent shows as he had a passion for dancing. After having completed high school, Alejandro began his studies at the University of Puerto Rico. He played soccer from the age of six to twenty-five. He subsequently stopped playing due to the fact that he was not performing as well as he had wanted to. At age 20, his injury was a major one. He eventually moved to Orlando to see if he could be considered by the Premier Development League (PDL). Rauw Alejandro is known for his Latin R&B, Latin Reggaeton and rhythmic pop. Billboard claimed that his music has "set him apart" from the growing number of Reggaetoneros who lean towards pop. Presley and Jackson were influential early on before being followed by Ricky Martin, Daddy Yankee and Chris Brown. He also cites Ciara as a major influence on his music.
